Chef Takuma Seki, loved for his warm and jovial disposition, is the executive chef of IKYU. This Niigata native’s love for cooking brought him through the kitchens of Washington D.C., Paris and Singapore. His culinary journey sharpened his knowledge and experience in Western ingredients and his sensibilities to enhance and elevate familiar flavours.
Takuma does away with convention, and showcases food that is unpretentious, meticulously sourced and exquisitely prepared. His forward thinking and creativity shakes up traditional delicate Japanese cuisine with modern twists and bold character.
