5 was the magic number for Chef Carlos Montobbio. His curiosity in cooking started at that age and his passion further blossomed through preparing meals alongside his mother as he was growing up.


At 28, Carlos’ talent was further cemented as he walked through the kitchens of acclaimed Michelin starred chef with the likes of Chefs Hilario Arbelaitz and the Roca brothers.


Now taking reins at Esquina, his creative flair provides a new vantage point on the conventional. Carlos ventures into the realms less travelled, introducing versatility and unorthodox dishes to test the palates of the discerning.
